Learn the Biblical Language

“The Torah is a tree of life to those who take hold of it, and those who support it are praiseworthy. Its ways are ways of pleasantness and all its paths are peace.” Mishlei 3:17-18 (CJB)

The Baruch HaShem Hebrew Department recognizes that the Hebrew language is a unique expression of our Jewish heritage, and serves as a vital link in connecting those in the Diaspora with national Israel. Therefore, it is the goal of the Hebrew Department to equip the Baruch HaShem kehila (congregation) to be able to: fully participate in corporate worship of the G-D of Israel; learn how to study the Tanach in its original language and Hebraic thought; and to be able to pass to the next generation the rich heritage of the Hebrew language. We also recognize the need to help educate the greater Messianic Community (as defined in Acts 15) in Biblical Hebrew that they may better understand the teachings of our Jewish Messiah in His Hebraic context; therefore our Hebrew School is also open to the community.
