0:00 As I have done for now, 722 days, I stand here to remind you that there remain 48 hostages in captivity against their will taken 722 days ago. 20 of whom are thought to remain alive to be re or thought to continue to be living. And the world is now at a place where they're seeking actually to forget that there remain 48 hostages to turn to a new political reality

0:50 and forget that there remain 48 hostages. I want, I want to show you a, just a very brief video. It's about 30 or 40 seconds. It, it's a part of a longer video, but I don't have time to show you the longer video. Uh, but this occurred in England, um, this past week. If you guys could, could play this, the, the brief clip,

1:56 I, I, I wanted to play that for you because it, it seems innocuous at, at first glance, you know, your presence here is antagonizing others, which I, I don't doubt that it was, but I want you to understand what they're saying. Actually, your mere existence antagonizes others to hatred, and we won't punish them because of the actions that they have, because of their own hatred. We punish you for your mere existence will arrest you. Do you understand that they would arrest him, the Jewish man walking around in a kippah. And by the way, this is in England, it's a free society,

2:43 the last I heard Sort of, but principally it's a free, it's a part of the free West whose freedoms we fought very hard for 80 years ago against other such hatred. And yet it's the mere existence of a Jewish man walking through on a free open street that causes it and antagonizes others to hatred. And those people aren't arrested for their actions. He's arrested for being who he is. It's, I I'm telling you this because it's merely symbolic, actually,

3:29 of the existence of the state of Israel. Israel will be punished because it's mere existence causes the rest of the world to hate. Israel can't do anything. You, what are you, what are you gonna do? Stop being Jewish. I, I don't think you can do that. And, and I think some of us might have tried 85 years ago and it didn't work. You can't stop it. This is what is ex in existence today. And I'm telling you, I'm telling you this again. Hmm. Partially to inform you, partially to freak you out.

4:15 Because if you're not, you're just gonna continue to sit around. But not to freak you out for the only, for the sake of freaking out. But like the shofar blow, like what we talked about on, uh, on Yom Turrah, on Rosh Hashanah with the blast of the shofar, what should we do? The blast should awaken us to what the reality is. The blast should awaken us to what is in existence today. I don't know where your theology is, and sometimes I'm not sure where mine is, but all I can tell you is I feel like it's, the day is growing closer very quickly.

5:01 And one day soon to come, the blast will be heard and Yeshua will return. But this time he won't return as a man. Hmm. How shall I say this? The, the scriptures tell us his robe is dipped in blood. And it's because there are people who will oppose him until the very end, as I said on, on Rosh Hashanah. Our heart should be the desire

5:48 that none should stand against, that we can be able to see the image of the Lord in everyone. And we desire for everyone to turn. But that being the case, not everyone will turn. And that's something that we're gonna have to live with. But I look forward and man, sometimes I wish it was just now like, let's be done with this already. But okay, on that joyful note, I would like to invite Ner Bosky to come to the stage and, and share with us. Ner by the way, for those, if I didn't, I think I might've said this earlier. Ner is a long time family friend, so long

6:33 that his wife and my mother were pregnant with me and with Daniel who was playing drums, uh, before we were born. I, I guess that's the definition of pregnant. Um, but anyways, longtime family, friends, and I, I'm just, this is what I want you to do, everybody. I want you to grab your seatbelt and go ahead and put it on because Avner moves really quick and be ready to laugh. And if you don't laugh, you gotta pay attention. Because his jokes are sometimes subtle and he doesn't give you clues that they're jokes, But they're hilarious if you pay attention. But I also want to say one more thing I just remembered.

7:18 They have a table, the Bosques have a table, uh, right outside these doors here in the, in the courtyard, foyer, uh, foyer. The, the, the foyer. Uh, where, where they have some materials out there, some books and CDs. You are welcome to come make a donation and, and if you see something you like, you're welcome to take it. Um, but my, my more important thing for all of you is I would like to encourage you to support them and their ministry. And, and if you, if you, if I, I don't know that I've said this in a while. Vener is one of the most prolific writers I think I've ever encountered. And with extremely insightful, uh, knowledge concerning what's going on and tying, tying what you read in the newspaper

8:04 to tying what you read in the Bible. So if you want that, I'm sure you guys have a signup sheet out there. Is that right sign? You can go on their website, you can sign up on the sheet. Anyways, ner, come on up. Let me, let me stop, uh, introducing you. Well Ave may our father in heaven. Lord, I thank you for Avner. I thank you for the Bosky family. Lord, I pray that you would continue to minister to, uh, to them and through them, and ask that you would continue to draw the people of Israel to you Lord, to, to Yeshua your son, Lord, we bless you and praise you in Yeshua's name. Amen. Amen. Does this, does this work? Can you hear me? Yes.

8:53 Good. Good. What? We just came from the holy land before we got here. We were in New York City and uh, the Levites have a little restaurant called Katz's Deli. We were there as well. Um, let me see if this works. Does it work? Oh, 'cause you didn't put anything up yet. 'cause we're not supposed to do that yet. There we go. If today is Sunday, it must be Belgium. Those of you may know where that's from, but that's the different story. Good. So before we get into the message, um,

9:38 Marlene had asked that we share very briefly about something. We're involved in something called the Ezekiel 37 project. It's, uh, training, uh, for the Great Army of Ezekiel 37, verses nine and 10. How many people know about Ezekiel 37, 9, and 10? Where is Ezekiel? How many people know where? No, uh, uh, God says he's gonna do something with the Jewish people that most believers in Jesus know nothing about. The best way to hide a secret is to put it in the Bible. So we're gonna have a little trailer for you to watch about what we're doing. And I'll explain after it. It's about a two minutes long. And maybe you could put that on if, for us, if you would.

10:40 The God of Israel is bringing the Jewish people back out of the deserts of our exile. He's restoring us back to our own land. So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath entered them and they came to life and stood on their feet an exceedingly great army. And he is about to make us come alive, to place his spirit within us and to turn us into a mighty army, as was spoken long ago

11:29 by the prophet Ezekiel. We've been called to help in this process, to prepare, to train and to quicken this army in the calling and challenges that God has laid out for us in his word. Welcome to the Ezekiel 37 Institute.

12:15 Yeah. One of the beautiful things God said is he's bringing the Jewish people back to the land of Israel. Not just to eat Jaffa oranges and to do folk dancing, um, but to turn into something which is gonna bring life from the dead to the whole world. That's in Romans 1115. And, uh, something to be praying about. And if you're interested, you'll be able to, uh, get in touch through our website, Davids tent.org, and you can find out about it. And eventually it's gonna be on YouTube and social media for free so that you can be learning and studying. We've given this in Israel already three times in, uh, in Hebrew. And now it's gonna be in English for those who don't speak Hebrew. 'cause believe it or not, some people in the world don't

13:02 yet speak Hebrew, by the way, when Yeshu returns. Do you think he's gonna have a Bronx accent? Maybe a Texas accent like K***y Friedman? No, I think he's probably gonna look like a, an Israeli Jew and probably speak Hebrew. So now's the time to start learning Hebrew, but that's an aside. Okay, very good. Well, again, if you're interested, uh, in the back here, um, is that what it says? Yeah. There we go. My, my computer froze on me. There we go. Now it's good. So yeah, our ministry's called Final Frontier Ministries from Star Trek Jews, the Final Frontier.

13:48 You may remember that. And, uh, we're going to, uh, start going through this. Ah, this needs to be on. Boy, so many bells and whistles here. The Apostle Paul had it much easier, I'll tell you. So one of the books is kind of the Israel Nikita World Revival. Another one is called How to Be Messianic Without Becoming Shuga. And some of you may need this book. And, uh, that's not me by the way there. Uh, another one is called Jews, Arabs In the Middle East. Uh, there's so much information and so little of it is biblical. And uh, so this kind of explains to you what's going on in the Middle East in light of Bible history and what's going on today in terms of, uh, politics.

14:35 But today we're not talking about that. We're talking about something different. How many people recognize the top line, what this says here? Can anyone read it? What language is it? No, it's not. It's close. It's Yiddish. Now Yiddish is written with Hebrew letters. That's what fooled you, right? Just like Russian is written with Greek letters that fooled you too. But uh, yeah, this says here, Susanna Yid, it's hard to be a Jew. This is a term that we, we use in Yiddish. I grew up speaking Yiddish. I came out of my mother's, uh, tummy speaking Yiddish. Can you believe that? Um, yes indeed.

15:23 So there are people that the term, uh, it's hard to be a Jew is a kind of a word that a lot of Yiddish speakers and even Jewish people who don't speak Yiddish use to describe the Jewish experience. And the first guy who, who really wrote about it was a guy named Shalom Abramovich, or Shalom Ole Shalom, as we say. And, uh, he was a, uh, a Yiddish writer and he wrote something that, you know, all of you know him, but you don't know that you know him. He wrote a book called Today Fiddler On the Roof. Okay? But it wasn't called Fiddler on the Roof in those days. Uh, here's a picture of him with three other famous Yiddish writers. Some of you may remember who they are. Bik, rum, uh, et cetera.

16:08 He's the guy standing up with the or, or maybe it's a butter churn, I think. Anyway, he was very famous. Uh, and you can see here's Yiddish Theater, uh, with it's hard to be a Jew, uh, which is in, uh, in London, I think in the middle. And then you have Haah in Israel. So this was a, a play that a lot of people were involved, uh, in, in it. And here's actually a second avenue for those of you who know Second Avenue Theater, Yiddish Theater. This is a, uh, photo from that time. So it was something that a lot of Jewish people know about. Now, Shalom was known because his writing was kind of the, the quintessential, uh, summation of what it was like to live in Russia

16:56 and then in America or elsewhere in the diaspora. And, uh, he focused on two aspects, which are bittersweet. Poignancy, that's a $12 word and tragedy, okay? That Jewish history has had. Does anyone know what language that is on the right, by the way? Polish. Who said Polish? Do you, do you speak Polish? You don't, but you still know. 'cause you see, it says Cracko, right? Snap, Cracko and pop. It's a Polish cereal. Yes, indeed. Okay, so there was a famous Yiddish writer. He got the Nobel Prize. His name was Isaac bva singer. He wrote us a book which made into a screenplay

17:44 with Barbara Streisand. Do you know who Barbara Streisand is? Right. And it was called GenTel. And that was based on a book that he wrote. He said, uh, when he got the Nobel Prize, he was asked, why are you writing in Yiddish? 'cause he wrote in Yiddish. And he said, well, I'll tell you, I believe in the resurrection of the dead. He said, one day there's a lot of Yiddish speakers who are gonna rise from the dead. And the first thing they're gonna ask is what's new that's been written in Yiddish. So I want them to have something to read. So anyway, he wrote that it's true. But listen to what he said here. The Yiddish mentality is not hdi. It does not take victory for granted. It does not demand and command, but it muddles through.

18:32 It sneaks by it smuggles itself amidst the powers of destruction, knowing somewhere that God's plan for creation is still at the very beginning. Very interesting thought there. There's some things which are biblically true and others, which might not be as much, but he's saying we Jewish people have a challenge. We have a calling and uh, we bring something that nobody else brings. And it's not falafel. What is the Bible's view of Jewish history? See, we live kind of in the present, the eternal present like a goose.

19:18 We have no past. We have no future. We just go to in and out and to Whataburger. And we have a good time. But God has a different perspective about what he's doing here. What's his god's eye view about this thing here? Some people would call it a bird's eye view here. But this is an American, uh, bird as you can see. But if you open up the Bible, uh, we're gonna do that. You don't have to open your Bible 'cause we have it here on the screen right now in Deuteronomy 26. It's, which is really a few chapters before what we just read. And you shall respond and say, before Hashem your God, my father, that's Abraham,

20:04 was a wandering aian. What's an aian? An aian is what we call Syria today. Syria is mislabeled. It's not Syria. They tried to say as Syria ashu, and they called it Syria in Greek, but the land was called the land of the Ians Aam. Now, here's a pop quiz. Is Aam, is he descended from Abraham? This is like grade three again, that panic feeling, you know, no Aam is not descended from Abraham. The Syrians are not from Abraham. Well, I thought the whole Middle East was the center from Abraham, the Lebanese. Are they from Abraham? No, they're Venetians. How about the, uh, the Egyptians? No, they're from Ham.

20:53 How about the, uh, Saudi Arabians? No, some of them are from Ishmael. Most of them are not. How about Yemen? Also not. So who's descendant from Abraham? Well, I know a man in Chicago on diversity parkway, who's descended from Abraham? No, there are some people descended from Abraham. The Jewish people are descended from Abraham. The mites are descended from Abraham. And, but we're gonna talk about that. So God says to the Jewish people, you come up to Jerusalem, it's ha it's one of the gm, the three holidays, the pilgrim fests. You get, come and bring your, your sacrifice or your offering there, and you're gonna say, this is my history. My father was a wandering man in era in Iran,

21:41 and he went down to Egypt and resided there. Few a number. So in Hebrew, it's, ah, ed, meaning wandering. Okay? So Abraham was a wanderer. And the Jewish people have had a lot of wandering. And we're gonna look at that. You know, I wonder, as I wander, what's what we're gonna look at, Deuteronomy 32, which is coming up says, remember the days of old consider the years of all generations. So he says, basically think history. The Bible says, think history. Ask your father and he will inform you, your elders, and they will tell you what are they gonna tell you? When the most high gave the nations their inheritance, that's Texas, right?

22:28 When he separated sons of man, that's the big wall between America and Mexico. He set the boundaries of the peoples according to the number of the sons of Israel. He says, when I set up the borders of Texas, I have the Jews in mind. When I set up the borders of Canada, I have the Jews in mind. When I set up the borders of Saudi Arabia, I have the Jews in mind. Why? For Hashem's portion is his people. Jacob is the allotment of in inherit his inheritance. So he's saying it's not the same like every other nation. This world is Israel centric. And if you go to the United Nations,

23:13 that's exactly what you see. They spent all their time focusing on the Jews. Psalm 80 says, you removed the vine from Egypt. This would probably be Cabernet Sauvignon. And you drove out the nations and you planted it. You drove you, God drove out the nations from the land of Israel and planted this Jewish vine. So it must be, uh, Magen dovid or something. You cleared the ground before it, and it took root deep root and filled the land. The mountains were covered with its shadow. And the cedars of God with its branches, it was sending out its branches to the sea and it shoots to the Euphrates River. Does that sound like something from the river to the sea? But this is the real, and what you're hearing in the news is the counterfeit.

23:59 So God says, I want to give the Jewish people the whole land from the river to the sea. Now, if you ask most Israelis to say, we have enough problems, we don't want it. We barely want what we have. And sometimes even that I'm not sure about. What's that line from some movie? You know, the movie? Okay, so, but what happened with the Jewish people, it's God gave us his land. And even from the very beginning, people said, you think it's yours. It's not, we'll decide what happens with your land. And so in that psalm it says, why God have you broken down its hedges so that all who passed its way that way pick its fruit, a bore from the forest eats away and whatever moves in the field feeds on it.

24:47 So he's saying the nations, since the writing of the Hebrew scriptures from even 1000th BC are claiming the land for themselves. And so the psalmist raises his hands to God and he says, God of armies, do not turn back, look down from heaven and see and take care of this vine, the chute, which your right hand is planted and of the sun whom you've strengthened for yourself, it's burned with fire. It's cut down. They perish from the rebuke of your face. So here's the Jewish people. Abraham's a wanderer, they wander into Egypt, then they wander back the vine to the land, and then they settle down and everything's hunky dory. And then all of a sudden the nations say, get outta here.

25:33 That's a New York greeting, right? And, uh, they say, what's going on here? So what happens is the Jewish people who wandered were brought back to the land. But then what happened? Well, the Bible says something called exile. And exile is a very, uh, it's a subject a lot of Jewish dumb people want to talk about. Because if you're in exile, um, then you're not home. So we're gonna look at what the Bible says. Okay? Psalm 1 0 5 says, the Jewish people wandered from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people. This has been a lot of our history, if you add it up,

26:20 we've spent more time wandering in exile than we have at home. So that's, there's no other people. Even the Irish can't say that. And, uh, so why exile? Exile is God's response to our people's sin. Well, that's the second thing we don't like to talk about. It's all right to have yo kipper once a year, 20 minutes, we think about it, but all times, every day. See, not all of Jewish history is happy and bubbly Here. Isaiah says, round 720, BC says, my people, therefore will go into exile for lack of understanding. In other words, exile is not a gift.

27:07 Now, the reformed Jewish movement years ago, maybe about 200 years ago, said, you know what? It's not exile. God scattered us so that we could bring the light of the Bible and of the God of Israel to the nations. But the Bible doesn't say that. The Bible says we got scattered because of exile. Does anyone recognize this picture? I knew the artist. You know what? Those people are the ones with the funny hats. They're Ku Klux clam. Uh, no, they're, they're Assyrians. Uh, but the ones with the, with the hair like mine, those are the Jews. And this was, uh, uh, done by a some Assyrian artist about the battle of Laish.

27:52 Laish is where the best grapes in Israel grow today. So this is round 7 0 5, 7 0 1 bc and these are Jews being taken out into exile. So the beginning of the exile was not with the destruction of the first temple. It actually began with the 10 tribes going out into exile. And, um, you may be, remember this famous song about sitting by the rivers of Babylon and hanging up our harps, the song by Don McLean or McLean. Um, and uh, this is again, uh, in the scriptures. Jeremiah says, for my people have committed two evils, why stop at two?

28:40 But anyway, two evils. They have abandoned me. The fountain of living waters. Now this is not just Jeremiah's time, by the way, look around you. What would you say about America? Has America abandoned many of us, the fountain of living waters? What about England as we just saw? So it's Jewish, it's not only Jewish, but it certainly is Jewish. And he's saying, my people have committed two evils. They've abandoned me. This is a husband saying, my wife has left me. She's gone off to to kiss other men and they've carved out for themselves cisterns,

29:25 broken cisterns that don't hold water. He's saying, my people have set up a system, right? Instead of in Jerusalem, it's in Bethel. And Dan, instead of, uh, you know, no images, they had golden calves instead of priests from Aaron, they ended up priests from all parts of it. They changed Judaism. Okay? It's in the Bible. Jeremiah is saying, you can't do that. You can't do that. So you've, your heart has gone far for me, and you have done other things like that. And then he continues. It says, but if you do not obey Hashem, your God, to be careful to follow all his commandments

30:10 and statues, which I'm commanding you today, all these curses will come upon you. You know, I, I've been teaching now 40, 50 years and one of the things I say is, you know, it says that God will bless the Jewish people double for, for all the good things they do. How many want to be Jewish? And everybody hands go up. And then it says, but it says, but if you do wrong and you're Jewish, God will discipline you double. How many want to be Jewish? Now? All the hands go down. God says, if you don't obey you, I'm gonna bring a history of cursing upon you. And just as has sha rejoice over you to be good to you and make you numerous. So has shame will rejoice over you to wipe you out and to destroy you.

30:57 It sounds like a good devotional. You know, you want to read that every morning? How exciting. But here we have it. God says, if the Jewish people don't follow me with their heart, it's not like a choice. It's like bad things. You know, why do bad things happen to bad people? Was there a book like that years ago or something like that? I dunno, Kushner Harold. But this is what happened. The temple got destroyed and we got taken into exile in a major way. And he says here in Deuteronomy, you're gonna be torn from the land, torn from the land, and he will scatter you among all the peoples for one of the earth to America.

31:43 There will be no resting place for your soul. You'll have a t troubling heart and no assurance of your life. So what's happened in Jewish history didn't catch God by surprise. But most of us Jews and Messianic Jews are not living with the reality of the fact that we're in the exile, that we have been thrown out of our land and we've ended up settling in other lands. This is where we are. So here is for instance, a, uh, Rosh Hashanah card in Yiddish written by, uh, Hersh Sternberg, as you can see on the bottom. And it says, in Yiddish and Hebrew les or glut, we are traveling in exile. Now for some of us, as Bono would say, one

32:28 of his songs we're a, a bird in a gilded cage. But God says, the Jewish people are actually in exile, but he gives a promise in Jeremiah. He says, this is what Hashem says. A voice is heard in Ramah that's near Ramah today, lament, lamenting and bitter weeping. Rachel is weeping for her children. She refuses to be comforted for her children because they are no more. So he's saying, Rachel the matriarch, the symbol of the other, all three matriarchs or four matriarchs, actually, uh, she is crying. That's God's heart crying for his people in exile. But so many Jews have forgotten to cry. They say, Hey, it's not half bad.

33:16 So God then gives a prophecy about some things which are gonna happen after the Babylonians and the Assyrians. He says there's going to be a group of people coming from Rome. And in Luke 21, Yeshua says to us, Jerusalem's gonna be surrounded by armies. It's gonna be desolated. And those who are in Judah, or as we call it, the West Bank, must flee to the mountains. So even the second destruction of the temple is part of this whole exile going on. We can't remove ourselves from what God tells us about what Jewish history is about. And he says, this exile is gonna be prophesied

34:03 and protracted. So this is where we live. Anyone want to get out now? Okay, let's continue. So we've got a protracted exile. The Jewish people, it, it started around 720 BC and it's gone on for 2,700 years. But look what he says here in Jeremiah 21, okay? Thus says, Hashem of armies, the Lord God of Israel, to all the exiles who I've sent it to, exile from Jerusalem to Babylon, settle down and get used to exile, build houses and live in them, plant gardens and eat their produce. Take wives and become the fathers of sons and daughters. Take wives for your sons and give your daughters to husbands that they may sons

34:48 and daughters and multiply there in Dallas and do not decrease. Seek the welfare of the city where I've sent you into exile and pray to Hashem on its behalf. For in its welfare, you will have welfare. So we sang here around 600 bc This is not gonna be for a few minutes. You're gonna be in exile as a people, as a Jewish people for quite some time. Get used to it. Just take up a hobby and relax. If you know that record from many years ago, most of you wouldn't. So Jews try to settle down wherever they were. And recently they got on boats and they came to Dallas, Texas.

35:34 I had the privilege of being part of a Yiddish. I had the one Yiddish role in a movie called, um, west of Hester Street. It was filmed here near the old spaghetti warehouse in Dallas. And uh, it deals with the Galveston, uh, immigration flux of Jews. They came to New York and then the German Jews in New York said, too many Jews we're gonna get in trouble, send them to Texas. So that's what happened. It's called the Galveston wave. And uh, so that's something that happened there. But God says, you know, it's not gonna end. It's not gonna end with the Jews in exile. I'm gonna do something. I gonna break the lump log jam. And what does he say? He says in Jeremiah 29 70,

36:22 that's the magic number. When 70 years have been completed for Babylon, I'm gonna bring you back to this place. 'cause I know the plans I have for you. Plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and hope. Now, I've seen these scriptures in people's bathrooms all around the world, and it's really nice, it's really nice. But it talks about the Jews. He says, I exiled the Jews. I'm gonna bring the Jews back. And he says, after 70 years you'll see it. They'll all come running back to Israel. Well give you some news. 2,500 years. And the Jews said, we have a better idea. We're gonna stay in exile because it's nicer. Okay?

37:07 So we're only 2,500 years behind schedule, okay? We could have gone back, but most of us chose to stay in Miami. But even with these delays of 2,500 years, God says the exile is coming to an end. And what am I trying to do? I'm trying to give you a historical biblical view of where we are, okay? It's not special pleading. This is what God is doing. He says in Jeremiah 30, don't be afraid, I'm gonna save you from far away. That's not Dallas, that's, uh, Abilene and your descendants from the land of their captivity. Okay? I will completely destroy all the nations, which are where I've scattered you. But I will not destroy you, okay? But I will discipline you.

37:56 So God says, I am bringing you back. It's very much on my heart. It's very much in my plans, Jeremiah. And then he says, behold, I'm bringing them from the north country and we'll gather them from the remotest parts of the earth. That would be more like la. And uh, he was scattered Israel and says, we'll gather him right? Are we on the right slide? He was scattered Israel. We'll gather him. So he's saying, yes, I sent you out. I'm bringing you back. Now, I was raised as a communist son of, uh, communist, uh, parents. My mother spied for the Soviet Union. And my, uh, dad, uh, was a communist enforcer who had to flee to Mexico. And um, um, now why was I telling you this?

38:45 It's very interesting, of course. But, uh, there had to be some connection here that God is bringing people back. Um, I'll remember it. And if I don't remember it now, I'll remember it a week from now. So I'll be waiting for you a week from now at this time. Okay? So God said, when you get out on the, on the open roads and you're in the middle of the Exodus, uh, the, the Exodus knot, he said, put up road signs saying Jerusalem. That way it doesn't matter where you go, direct your mind to the highway to go back. This is a statement he's making to the Jewish people, these milestones there. And he says here, in those days,

39:31 Jewish people are gonna be crying because of what's happening to them in history. And they're gonna be asking for the way back to Zion. My people have become lost sheep. Does that sound like what Yeshua talked about when he talked about the Jewish people being lost sheep? The their shepherds have laid, uh, led them astray. They've made them turn aside on the mountains. So he's saying the Jewish people have not always had good leaders. See, this is part of the prophetic calling who wants to be a prophet here, right? Your leaders are not always good. It's kind of make sure you live till you get your pension. So in Ezekiel 34, he says, again, I'm gonna seek the lost. I'm gonna bring back the scattered.

40:17 I'm gonna bind up the broken, strengthen the sick. The ultimate healing for the Jewish people will not occur outside the land of Israel. That's what the prophets are saying here. So here I want to now just go through a few quick lessons in Jewish history. You have to get at your pens now and start writing, okay? There'll be a short quiz just afterwards. So what lessons can we learn from Jewish history? There are some discernible patterns in Jewish history that we need to remember, okay? 'cause if we don't remember, we forget. So here are the patterns. We get exiled from the promised land. These are biblical issues, okay? It's all, you can find it all in the scripture. We wander from country to country in search

41:05 of new opportunities. We get a measure of prosperity, as Jeremiah said, and partial assimilation into that country. And then jealousy from those nations leads to persecution of the Jews and destruction. And then we go off into exile into another country. For those of you who know Zionist history, there was a man named Max NoDa who talked about Anak, Isla Knight, hostile. And so this concept of the suffering of the Jewish people is not just, I don't know how it happened. Couldn't have happened to a nicer people. It happened because of our sin. God said, if you sin, you have such responsibility, they're gonna exile you.

41:51 And there's things you're gonna have to repent for. So let's look at Spain. Spain is a country that today loves the Jewish people. They spend all their time thinking about the Jewish people. They said, too bad we don't have nuclear weapons so that we could, uh, do something about Israel. That's a pretty interesting comment. So let's look at historical parallels from Spain. The Jews wandered from Israel, Rome, and then they moved into Spain. And here's a picture of them signing an agreement to have a peaceful life in Spain. Jews did really well in Spain. Here's different types of Jewish dress of Jewish people.

42:39 Going back 1700 years in Spain. We achieved a measure of prosperity in Spain. Uh, some of us got very successful. So these are all historical pictures from those times. Even the women bought the famous fashions, like, uh, Giorgio Armani. He was from Spain, wasn't he? Anyway, then some of Jewish people said, you know, we'll fit in better if we become Catholics. And so there was this assimilation and they still remember the stories that, uh, rabbi Marty told about going to, uh, was it Toledo and the, uh, the chains and stuff like that there? Yeah. So they said, Hey, maybe if we become really American,

43:27 it'll all be all right. But what happened is there was persecution, destruction based on jealousy, and we had to flee Spain and look where we ended up going to Lithuania, Crimea, Egypt, a few to Israel. But, uh, another of the same pattern that I've been talking about, we fled from Spain. Here's a picture of Jews fleeting from Spain into another temporary exile. So here's these principles from Jewish history, and I'll just say it again. There we go. Exile, settling in a new land, persecution and return. And here, just in case you think maybe I was exaggerating

44:12 here, lists where this exact principle happened in Jewish history. Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome, Constantinople, Arabia, England, France, Spain and Portugal. Germany, not America. Our my parents, my grandparents thought of America as the golden and Medina, the golden land. And you can see here pictures from that time. Uh, if you want a copy of this PowerPoint, you can, uh, ask and I'll send it to you. Uh, free of charge, uh, America, the, the golden land, new opportunities for Jews. Everything was gonna be different here. It's not gonna be Spain, it's not gonna be Germany.

45:01 Jews thought maybe if we could just shed our skin from Europe and take on a new American skin. Everything is given is gonna be good here in this country. Here. It's a land where Jews can find self-fulfillment. There we go. This is interesting. This is a tiva, a New Year's card. And it's a, it's a ship card that you can, you know, go on a on a boat and come to America where everything's gonna be fine. That was what we thought. And today, there are those who say, if Jews can maybe go to Israel, it's gonna be the land of self-fulfillment. Everything's gonna be wonderful there too. But God Tite, what did that happen? How did they do that?

45:50 How did they do that to me? Wait a second. Come back here. Here we go there. That's the one I'm looking for. This is a Jewish angel, by the way. This is what they look like. And um, it says that God is restoring the Jewish people worldwide to Israel. And you actually sang from this, uh, verse down at the bottom. But what's happened is you see Jews want to fit in. I had a problem growing up in Canada. I was in a Jewish school and I was the only kid in the, in the Jewish school with a Jewish name. There were Bruces and Stevens and Edwards. But I was ner the only kid with a Jewish name.

46:37 And I suffered in a Jewish school like that. So Jewish people often want to be just like Americans or Germans or Europeans. But look what God says in Ezekiel 20. I would scatter them. I swore. But whatever comes into your mind certainly will not come about when you say we will be like the nations, like the families of the land serving wooden stone. We'll be better than the Americans. We will be more German than the Germans. We will be more Spanish than the Spanish God says, believe me, it's not gonna happen. 'cause he says, I'm gonna with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. And with wrath poured out, I will be king over you. This is quoted right now during this week, during the service for Rosh Hashan and yum kipper, I will bring you out from the peoples.

47:24 I will gather you from the lands with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. And with wrath poured out, that's the same term that God used against the Egyptians. So he's saying basically, you're not going to get away with it. I'm gonna end up bringing the whole nation of Israel back. And he talks about here, as you can see, bringing you into the wilderness of the peoples. And I will enter into judgment with you face to face. God means business. He said this going back now 2,600 years. And we've seen it being played out in history, in, in, in history. And he basically says, listen, I'm gonna clean the Jewish people and only the clean sheep are gonna get into the land.

48:09 These are very hard subjects. You can understand why so many people don't want to talk about it, right? So it's hard to be a Jew and it's hard to be a prophet. These prophets had a message that a lot of people didn't want to hear. Psalm one of five says, the whole Jewish people are an anointed nation and a prophetic nation, something we're thinking about here. So how do you become a happy prophet? Well, you say God, gimme something which is encouraging. Now, the CIA, you may have heard of them. They're a branch of the Mossad, at least according to some, uh, pundits on television. The CIA has the inevitable unenviable task

48:57 of delivering problems to people with the awkwardness of being the bad news people. And they don't necessarily have solutions. They say, oh, this is gonna be a problem. That's their job to go to the, uh, president and say these things here. But it says, here's some good news. Now we've switched and we're going into the good news, okay? It says, when the Jewish people one day, they're gonna be a pleasing perfume in the nostrils of God. He says, I'm gonna bring you out from the peoples. I'm gonna gather you from the lands and you're gonna be a soothing aroma. And I will show myself who among you. Can you imagine that when the Jewish people are gonna be known for holiness?

49:43 These, by the way, are little. It's the same picture of a little ivory, uh, scepter top, which was used probably in temple worship going back to about 800 BC the the sweet smelling savor. Now, one of the things is as God is bringing us back to the land of Israel, the sons of pioneers didn't ask to be pioneers. The sons of hippies didn't ask to be hippies, you know, and God and what many of the original Zionists, the idealists they said we're coming back from the Holocaust, but they didn't necessarily have a biblical understanding of this history that you've just heard.

50:31 And so they don't think of the issue of our problems. And God saying, Hey, I'm the one who threw you out and I'm the one bringing you back. So they didn't give thanks. Romans one says, if you don't give thanks, it's not a good precedent here. You know, most Jews don't know much about some of the prophetic word. They don't know about Ezekiel 37, this mighty army that God's gonna raise up. They don't know that the entire nation of Israel is gonna be become a messianic people. These are things that are coming, but most Jewish people don't know. Have you ever thought of what that mighty army is gonna look like? I encourage you to go home and read Eka 37, 1 through 11

51:19 and seeing what God says he's gonna do. Now, of course, why would we need a mighty army in the Middle East? As we know, peace is breaking out. Qatar is just about willing to make a deal with, uh, Tucker Carlson. And, uh, oh no, it wasn't that. It was something else. But anyway, as you know, everything is fine, right? There's a great deal about to happen and everything's gonna be fine. There's no problems. The Bible says nothing about what's gonna happen, trust me. But there's going to be an army. What's it gonna do? It's time to pray about these things. Think about those things. Now, every Jewish person today needs to hear directly from the God of Israel about returning to the land. I had a friend, I forget his name, but he's with the Lord.

52:08 And, uh, he said, you don't need to hear. You gotta go back. That's it. I don't say that. I say, you need to hear. Doesn't matter what the decision is, you need to hear. Okay? There's an old, uh, world War II story of two Jews who were fighting in the Warsaw ghetto against the Nazis. They were captured, put up against the wall. It's an apocryphal story. And before the Germans, the Nazis were gonna shoot them. The commandant said, do you have any last requests? And the first one said, yes, I'd like a cigarette. And the second one said, for God's sake, don't make trouble. Temperature of the water is heating up across the world for Jews, including here in, um,

52:54 Dallas, as you know. Take a look at some of these posters from quite recently, and you can see that things are happening here in this city that involve an increase of, um, antisemitism against the Jews, often coming under a garb of Islamism, right in every city. I can find examples in every city in America right now. It's really a, uh, a major outbreak. Now, Melanie Phillips, an English writer, talked about that the explosion of the fantasy that it's gonna be all right for the Jews in the world is happening now.

53:41 And so it's not like, uh, 'cause un tight. There we go. It went backwards on me. There we go. There's a famous Jew, his name is the master of the good name. That wasn't his name, but that's the name. He went under Balto Robbie Royal. And he said, forgiveness, forgetfulness leads to exile, forgetting our history and our calling while remembering holds the key to redemption. This is what God says in Isaiah. He says, he will raise up a banner for the nations. That means the nations are gonna see this and they're gonna be aware of what's going on. And he will gather the exiles of as Israel

54:29 and assemble the scattered peoples of Judah from the four corners of the earth, never to be uprooted from our land again. So this is part of what's been happening in the past 150 years. Jewish people are being taken from all these different countries and brought back home. There we go. And in case you had noticed this is happening in a state of war, we wouldn't maybe plan it that way, but God said, I'm bringing the Jewish people back and everybody's gonna be upset about it. Everybody's in a tizzy. And he says, but I know about this. Look at this picture here. This is Theodore Herzl back in, uh, in Vienna, the father of Zionism.

55:15 And here's a, a son of a, uh, very famous politician, Orthodox Jewish guy. And uh, this is in Gaza, very similar, isn't it? Those two pictures. So even now, there's war going on as we return. Now it's true. Some Messianic Jewish leaders don't like to talk about Aliyah. And I understand that very well. We've lived in Israel for about 45, 50 years. There are reasons. Life in Israel is hard. It's hard spiritually, it's hard economically, it's hard socially. There's problems sometimes with Messianic Jewish people for visas. There's prejudices and there's war. It's a land basically suitable for pioneers. So even to think about that,

56:00 it requires a pioneering spirit. And again, uh, the sons of pioneers didn't choose to be pioneers. It's a very important thing to understand Israel. Now, there was a very famous Chinese military philosopher years ago named Sun Sue. And he wrote a book, the Art of War, and he said, instill fear in the heart of the enemy. And they'll hand victory over to you. Was head of Hamas knew this. He studied Israel and he said, what's gonna cause the most fear? And he said, hostages. His strategy of hostages is to say, let's not worry about defeating Hamas. Let's get Israel and a tizzy about returning the hostages.

56:48 That was his, his whole point. And uh, he was released in a hostage deal for one Israeli soldier. A thousand terrorists came out. And those a thousand terrorists have killed hundreds and hundreds of Israelis since then. So it's not all black and white like release the hostages now, like Greta Thornberg, you know, do it now. Hamas doesn't care about Greta. And uh, so here in America, antisemitism is growing. I'm just coming to a close here. Will it be safe for Jewish people in America? Where will it be safe? These are questions a lot of Jewish people are asking. Now here's another question that some of us maybe haven't thought about. What if we decide to stay here

57:35 and prepare to help the Jewish people face what's coming proactive in terms of these things? That's something to consider as well. Maybe we could be involved in helping Jewish people. 'cause most of our people still do not know Yeshua, and they don't even know that there are friends who can help them in times of difficulty. So to use a famous, um, American pattern here, um, who knows, if you haven't been called to the kingdom for such a time as this, it may mean to go to Israel. It may mean to be here to help Jewish people as antisemitism grows. So Zacharia says, I'm gonna strengthen the Jewish people.

58:24 I'm gonna bring them back. It'll be as if I had never sent them out into exile. They will see their hearts will be glad, their children will see and be glad, and their hearts will rejoice. In Hashem, it says, I'm gonna whistle for them and bring them home, and they will be even more numerous than they were before. I either bring them back from all the Arab countries. Here's from Yemen, here's Jews coming back from Iraq. And there's a famous rabbi who said, the day of the in gathering of the exiles is as great as the day in which heaven and earth were created. So this is exciting stuff. And as you know, when the Jewish people come back,

59:11 I had, uh, six rel relatives of my immediate family on that boat called the Exodus bringing us back. Uh, in those days, you're gonna have also the Messiah returning to his city. So thank you for your attention. I wanna pray for you just for a second. Father, we thank you that we stand in a mighty river of history where you've taken us out of Egypt, into Israel, and you said, if you don't do what I want, I'll send you back to Egypt. And here we are. But thank you Lord that you haven't forgotten.

59:58 You haven't stopped loving us. You still have plans for us, for good and not for evil. And you're gonna bring us home Whether we like it or not. And, uh, we bless you, father and yeshu his name for being able to consider these things and guide us, speak to us what you want us to be doing in that. Amen. And now I remember the thing I forgot, A nice communist mom says to her, son, son, come the revolution. There will be a chicken in every pot. The son says, but mama, I don't like chicken. She says, son, come to revolution.

1:00:47 You will like chicken. May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. Amen.

1:01:55 In the name of our Messiah, Yeshua Shalom.
