Shabbat Mornings

Every Shabbat morning during the Fall/Spring semesters, except the Chagim and Thanksgiving weekend, we offer classes for our children to learn more about G-d, the Bible, and the Jewish roots of their faith. Jr. Shabbat is offered year-round, except the Chagim and Thanksgiving weekend. Our goal is to walk out Proverbs 22:6 and train up each child in G-d’s Word.

We have opportunities for all ages:

9:30 AM – 12:30 PM – Nursery (ages 18 months thru 5 years) – the BHS Nursery is available every Shabbat year round. During the Fall/Spring semester, the Nursery opens at 9:30 am. The rest of the year, the Nursery opens at 10:30 am. Check in your child in the Children’s Ed wing where they will be taught and cared for by our faithful nursery volunteers until Shabbat service ends around 12:30 pm.

9:30 AM – 10:20 AM** – BHS Kids Shabbat School (ages 6 thru 12) – this age group meets each Shabbat during the Fall/Spring semester. Check in your child in the Atrium, where they will then head to the Children’s Ed Wing to be taught Biblical lessons. BHS Kids Shabbat School is geared towards children ages 6-12 and provides a place for children to learn about the weekly Torah portion.

9:30 AM – 10:20 AM** – Children’s Hebrew School (ages 10 thru 13) – Hebrew instruction for children begins for those who are age 10 by August 1st of the Fall semester, or by January 1st of the Spring semester (no exceptions are made). BHS Kids Jr. Shabbat is offered year-round, except the Chagim and Thanksgiving weekend. Each Shabbat, after the worship and Torah reading, the children will be called up, prayed over and dismissed to attend Jr. Shabbat. Jr. Shabbat is geared towards children ages 6-10 and provides a place for children to learn how to walk in the footsteps of Yeshua.

11:45 AM – 12:45 PM (dismissal time may vary; dismisses to class after Torah reading) – Jewish Studies (ages 10 thru 13) – this age group meets each Shabbat during the Fall/Spring semesters. You are welcome to register your student at the Children’s Check-In Station prior to service. They will be taught discipleship, Biblical history, the Jewish roots of their faith, & more! This class is open to all students, but is required for Children’s B’nei Mitzvah (Bar/Bat Mitzvah) Program applicants. To learn more, click here!

**   After Shabbat school ends at 10:20 AM, all children ages 6 and older need to be picked up and join their families for worship in the main sanctuary. After worship and the Torah reading, children ages 6-9 will be dismissed to attend Jr. Shabbat. Children ages 10 thru 13 will be dismissed to attend Jewish Studies.

Wednesdays

BHS Kids – Wednesday Night Live (ages 6 thru 12) – This midweek study will explore why students need to recognize that G-d created the world and everything in it out of nothing. During Wednesday Night Live, students will learn the attributes of G-d and how His love and character are seen throughout Scripture.

All children will need to be checked-in and checked-out by a parent or legal guardian. If this is your first time at Baruch HaShem, please allow for extra time on your first day to register your child for our program. Read about our check-in procedures here.
